Our name comes from the latin Aletris farinosa, the plant commonly called Stargrass or True Unicorn.
Aletris farinosa is a white lily that has been used for centuries by Native Americans as a general female tonic – for conditions such as uterine fibroids, ovarian complaints and infertility.
Aletris farinosa is indigenous to the eastern United States, and is listed by some states as endangered.
